- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Bryan Ward PhD, B Sc(Hons), Dip Hort Sci. has been employed at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital since 1993 as a Scientific Officer predominantly on research projects involving the identification and functional characterisation of calcium sensing receptor variants in patients suspected of having familial hypocalciuric hypercalcaemia type 1 (FHH-1) or autosomal dominant hypocalcaemia type 1 (ADH-1). Dr Ward has also been actively engaged in and supervised research projects that aimed to identify and define the role played by partner binding proteins of the calcium sensing receptor intracellular tail namely, testin, OS-9 and 14-3-3. Dr Ward has also been actively engaged on projects relating to the role played by steroid receptor modulators in breast and prostate cancer and is currently involved in research projects which aim to define the regulatory elements in genes linked to osteoporosis using the massively parallel reporter assay.
