Nicky Byers is a second-year PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales investigating female reproductive biology and assisted reproductive technology. Her research focuses on improving oocyte quality to enhance ART outcomes. As part of her PhD, Nicky is developing a reaggregation protocol to support oocyte–cumulus interactions and help restore the cellular environment required for optimal oocyte development and competence.
