Dr Oliver Griffith is an evolutionary biologist and Senior Lecturer in the School of Natural Sciences at Macquarie University. Dr Griffith’s research focuses on the evolution of complex traits, especially the origins of pregnancy. He uses an integrative approach that combines genomics, cell biology, and ecological physiology to uncover how new organs evolve and how maternal–fetal interactions shape reproductive strategies across vertebrates.
