James earned a PhD in Agriculture form the University of Adelaide in 2020 studying whether Plantago species that grow in Australia could be used as novel food ingredients. James is now a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Adelaide working on an ARC Linkage Project developing breeding and characterisation technologies for psyllium as a new crop for Australian farmers.
