Adjunctive therapies in type 1 diabetes: What, when and for whom? (149953)
People living with type 1 diabetes face complex metabolic challenges that are not addressed by insulin therapy alone. In fact, insulin induces downstream metabolic effects such as insulin resistance and weight gain. Adjunctive therapies are increasingly used off-label to manage these metabolic challenges. Â This presentation will discuss the state of evidence for adjunctive therapies in type 1 diabetes, practical prescribing guidance, evidence gaps and future research directions.
